Connect an Assistant

Activoice exposes its campaign editor to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, your assistant can read your campaigns, draft the briefing and the sample messages with you, add recipient groups, run the quality review, and publish the campaign once it is complete.

The assistant acts with your own account, on one of your organizations, which it names when you have several, and never beyond what you could do yourself.

One-line setup for coding agents

If you use a coding agent such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Gemini CLI, paste this sentence to it. The agent fetches our setup instructions, registers the server itself, then walks you through the sign-in:

Assistants that cannot edit their own configuration, such as Claude.ai, ChatGPT or Claude Desktop, guide you through adding the connector in their own settings instead, one step at a time. The steps below cover the same ground if you prefer to do it on your own.

Requirements

• An Activoice admin account. Every connection starts by signing in with it.
• An assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in: Claude (web and desktop apps, Claude Code), Cursor, ChatGPT in developer mode, and most recent MCP clients.

That is the only thing to configure. Discovery, sign-in and permissions are negotiated by your assistant on its own.

Connecting

Try it with a first request such as "List my campaigns" or "Help me create a campaign to…".

Organization scope

Your assistant works on one organization at a time, and that choice is its own: it starts on the organization selected in your Activoice admin the first time you connect, then stays there whatever you select in the admin later. When you belong to several organizations, the assistant says which one it is working on at the start of a conversation; ask it to switch organization to work on another one. Switching in the assistant never changes the organization selected in your admin, so open the right one there to see what the assistant created. Assistants never see or change other organizations' data.

What the assistant may do

The connection grants the same rights as your account on that organization: reading and editing campaigns, recipients, custom questions and greetings. Assistants are instructed to draft, then confirm with you before saving, to confirm before deleting, and to publish a campaign as soon as it is complete and reviewed, telling you it is live; ask them to put it back to draft if you are not ready. A campaign cannot be published while its readiness checks report errors, whoever tries.

Disconnecting

Your profile page in the Activoice admin lists the assistants connected to your account, with a Disconnect button for each. Disconnecting revokes the access on our side immediately: the assistant has to go through the consent page again to reconnect. Removing the server from your assistant's settings on top of that keeps things tidy, but is not required.
